    Operation Mjolnir

This mission made me realize we need to practice security halts vs fixed positions, and management of multiple menuever elements.

    Radio, Command & Squad Roles

In conjunction with the above post (read it or I will murder you), and our restructure, some roles during our Saturday Ops will be formalized. In addition, radio communications will be standardized. See Diagram Below: The squad leader, and squad RTO will reside on the command channel 121, and their respective squad channel RTO will relay squad information to the mission commander, and relay mission commander information to the squad Squad relays to squad leader / RTO The goal of this structure is to reduce the amount of radio time for the squad leader, allowing him to focus on the mission. Mission Status will be relayed to mission commander by the RTO. Going forward, Squad leaders will be selected based on ability, rank and standing within the group. Squad RTOs will be open to members who would like to learn the ins and outs of leading squads, with the ultimate goal of being squad lead themselves. Squad leaders have the ability to choose their squad members. With that said, it will also be encouraged to personalize, specialize and make your squad your own. This includes call signs if you choose.
  6. MISSION BRIEFING 12/17/2017 6pm CST BACKGROUND INFORMATION Welcome to Diyali Province gentlemen. A contract has been provided extending over multiple contractors all wanting similar but albeit varying levels of support and security. The situation in the province is tense. A new local leader is to be elected in the coming weeks with public outcry for the candidates being high. Small attacks have taken place over the province but nothing more than intermittent rifle fire and hand grenade attacks. Also IDAP aid workers are in the province providing food water, repairs etc since ISIS were pushed out the area by a joint effort from Iraqi security forces and NATO airstrikes. There have been reports of supplies going missing, equipment destroyed, and people disappearing. It is speculated that a small ISIS cell is still operating in the area in an attempt to continue to sow fear and panic. The Hades Group will be taking assignments off the books. We will be furthering Spartan interests and objectives MISSION & EXECUTION Our objective is to move to location REDACTED and establish radio contact with REDACTED asset call sign REDACTED. 9. WARNING: WE HAVE ADDED ALL 4 RHS PACKS STARTING THIS MISSION. WE WILL ALSO BE USING A VENTRAL BACKPACK MOD TBD MISSION BRIEFING 10/21/2017 9pm CST BACKGROUND INFORMATION TAJIK / AFG BORDER After extensive NATO and CSAT combat operations, a hasty ceasefire has been signed. The current AO has roughly split latitudinally through the center. Checkpoints can be found along the frontier. Locally, the conflict was low intensity, as the area was of low strategic value. Local Militias 'kept the peace' among the populace for the most part, at times serving brutal 'justice'. Due to the lack of combat locally, the area became a safe haven for refugees from the surrounding areas, sometimes attracting families from as far as a couple hundred miles. The current situation is tedious. Altercations between NATO and CSAT forces have increased in volume, some coming very close to becoming a gunfight. Local Militias have been hosting demonstrations protesting the occupation, while local governmental forces are largely kept on their bases. Which Brings us to our contract. IDAP has launched a large scale humanitarian mission across the region, because of the scale, and tenuous situation, they have hired as loosely as security. After the loss of Tanoa, and our close call there during the second invasion, we felt this would be a solid contract to take. Anything to get us out of the pacific rim. Unfortunately, because of the scale of IDAP's mission, we did not have the manpower to cover their operations, and they hired a second PMC, a close competitor of ours for the other half of the contract. We have built a FOB, and an LP/OP near the NATO / CSAT demarcation line to expedite our travel times when needed. There may have been something about NATO banning PMC groups from their bases and FOBs as well. MISSION 9/23 AAR & INTEL: It should now be clear that some of the local militias have decided to do something about the 'invaders' and staged a minor attack on NATO, CSAT and BLUFOR assets in the region. They are kindly providing a C-130 for a HALO jump. We are to kit up, roll to the NATO Airbase to catch our ride. We will be towed up to 32,000FT / 10,000M and drop into enemy territory. Exfil will be by Ghosthawk in the riverbed to the north of Teruk. Exact location of the facility is UNK, as is the level of enemy presence. Keep it slow, keep it quiet as you reconnoiter the area. Some of our teams will be at the LP/OP across the riverbed, so team leaders should quickly raise each other on radio to coordinate linkup. We have built a FOB, and an LP/OP near the NATO / CSAT demarcation line to expedite our travel times when needed. There may have been something about NATO banning PMC groups from their bases and FOBs as well. MISSION & EXECUTION IDAP has set up a field hospital 100m from the Demarcation Line. They have been reporting to us the local militias have been hassling their staff and doctors, sometimes holding them up for supplies. NATO reinforced to IDAP if they become a supply source to the militias, CSAT, or any combatant forces in the region, their humanitarian mission will be terminated. They have asked us to sweep the town around the hospital, and try and find any clues as to the whereabouts of any of their branded supplies. Enemy contact is expected to be slim to none, as the area is still under a ceasefire, and the combatant groups have been observing it, to the best of their abilities. The local militias may take offense to us liberating their newfound supplies, so this will be going armed, albeit lightly, per Spartac SOP, clarified below. Some of our teams will be at the LP/OP across the riverbed, so team leaders should quickly raise each other on radio to coordinate linkup and convoy to the field hospital. 15. MISSION BRIEFING9/16/2017 9pm CST (typical op night and time) BACKGROUND INFORMATION The situation on the island of Tanoa is rapidly deteriorating. Several attacks on Tanoan bases have occurred and supplies have been raided. Royal forces are still reeling from the devastating looses of equipment and personnel. It falls upon us, Spartans, to safeguard any semblance of law and order left . There are reports of civilians being attacked and whole towns are unaccounted for at this time. It is safe to assume we are no longer dealing a smuggling problem here. No demands a have been given and the enemy has been melting into the jungles after conducting lethal raids. Royalist forces have Georgetown and the Tanoan airport under control but who knows for how long? MISSION: Last week the strike against the rebel leadership was very successful, possibly turning the tide in Tanoa. However, in the last 24 hours several satellite communication relay towers have gone dark acrossthe island. We've been tasked with escorting IDAP personnel to inspect several sites. We are rendezvous with them at the hospital in Georgetown and accompany the convoy through Tanoa. While the hostilities may have died down, many weapon systems remain unaccounted for. Spartac personnel are to remain armed at all times. Several hundred Chinese nationals that have gone missing and the Tanoans are worried CSAT may use this as pretext for an armed intervention. If you hear any information about them report immediately to FARSIGHT OR MIKE. That said, our mission in Tanoa is coming to a close. The Tanoans asked us to help deal with a minor smuggling operation and within weeks we had full blown insurgency take place. Clearly they did not grasp the situation or were negotiating in bad faith. Either way you can expect you a hefty bonus for the combat and hardship you all have endured.
